Ducati Streetfighter V2 servicing
2022 on · 955cc Superquadro V-twin (2022 to 2024) and 890cc V2 (2025 on) · Greenwich, London
Ray Petty Meccanica services and repairs the Ducati Streetfighter V2, from the 955cc Superquadro bikes of 2022 to 2024 to the 890cc V2 and V2 S launched for 2025, at its independent Ducati workshop in Greenwich, London. The newer bike is the first Streetfighter without Desmodromic valves, and we service each generation to its own schedule.
About the Streetfighter V2
The Streetfighter V2 arrived for 2022 as a naked version of the Panigale V2. It used the 955cc Superquadro, a liquid-cooled 90° V-twin with four Desmodromic valves per cylinder and chain and gear cam drive, with a claimed 153hp, plus a single-sided swingarm 16mm longer than the Panigale's, a Showa Big Piston Fork, a Sachs shock and IMU-based electronics. For 2025 it switched to Ducati's new 890cc V-twin, which uses conventional valve springs and finger followers in place of Desmo valve gear, chain-driven cams and variable intake timing, with a claimed 120hp. The new chassis has a cast aluminium monocoque and a double-sided swingarm bolted to the engine, in V2 form with Marzocchi and Kayaba suspension, or as the V2 S with Öhlins.
Servicing your Streetfighter V2
Neither generation has cam belts. On the 955 bikes the Desmo service and the other intervals follow Ducati's schedule for the model, and we'll tell you what's due when the bike comes in. The 890 engine has a 15,000 km service interval and a valve clearance check every 30,000 km. With valve springs instead of Desmo opening and closing rockers, that check is a different job from the Superquadro's. Both versions have cornering ABS, traction and wheelie control and a quickshifter, all read and set with the latest Ducati diagnostic software. If you're buying a used 955, we'll look over the bike for you before you pay for it.
