Every Ducati, every age
From the bevel twins and singles of the 1970s to the latest Panigale V4, Multistrada V4 and Diavel V4. We've worked on Ducatis for 35 years, so older models aren't a problem.

Annual, oil and Desmo services for every Ducati, in Greenwich
Ray Petty Meccanica services Ducatis of every age at its workshop in Greenwich, south east London: annual and oil services, Desmo valve services and cam belt changes, to Ducati's schedule and with genuine and OEM parts. Ray and his team have been servicing Ducatis for 35 years.
Servicing is about prevention rather than cure. Most of our customers bring their bike in once a year. If you commute on your Ducati or ride it a lot, twice a year is better.
We start at one end of the bike and work through to the other, paying most attention to the known trouble spots for your model. If we find anything that needs doing beyond the service, we call you and talk it through before we touch it.
What your bike needs depends on the model, its mileage and its age. As a guide, a service here covers:
A Desmo service is the major service on a Ducati with Desmodromic valves. Instead of springs, a Desmo engine closes its valves with a second set of rockers, and those clearances have to be measured and adjusted by hand at set intervals. On belt-driven engines, the cam belts are usually replaced at the same time.
How often depends on the engine. On recent Desmo engines the valve check comes round at up to 30,000 km (about 18,600 miles). The Multistrada V4's Granturismo engine uses valve springs and goes 60,000 km (about 37,000 miles) between checks. The new 890cc V2 engine, fitted to several Ducatis since 2025, also uses valve springs. Older Ducatis need checks much more often, and cam belts need replacing by age even if the bike has barely moved. Your handbook gives the figure for your bike, or call us and we'll tell you.
More on cam belts in our guide: when should Ducati cam belts be changed?
Tell us your model, the mileage and what's due, and we'll arrange a date.
From the bevel twins and singles of the 1970s to the latest Panigale V4, Multistrada V4 and Diavel V4. We've worked on Ducatis for 35 years, so older models aren't a problem.
We use genuine Ducati and OEM parts, and fit nothing we wouldn't put on our own bikes. When a chain is due we fit a top-of-the-range DID chain: safe, reliable and twice as long-lasting.
The workshop runs the latest Ducati diagnostic software, so modern bikes get the same checks as at a main dealer, from people who also know the bikes that came before them.
We service every Ducati. Find your bike for what it needs:
“Very pleased indeed with the work done yesterday to my MHR. Ray and crew are very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. I have no hesitation in recommending them to any belt or bevel owners.”
“Ray and the team are incredibly knowledgeable and possess truly meticulous skills. As Ray said ‘We only do the best.’”
“Managed to diagnose the issue in a matter of minutes and got me going again. [...] The speed in which they worked out what was going on showed their extremely high knowledge of classic Ducatis.”
Once a year suits most riders. If you commute on your Ducati or ride it a lot, bring it in twice a year. Separately, the Desmo valve service is due at a mileage set for your model, and cam belts on belt-driven engines also need replacing by age.
It depends on the model and which service is due: an annual oil service costs far less than a Desmo service with new belts. We give you a price for your bike before we start, and we won't do extra work without asking you first.
If your Ducati is still under its factory warranty, check Ducati's warranty terms before booking anywhere other than a main dealer, because manufacturers set their own servicing conditions for motorcycles. Call us and we'll tell you honestly whether it makes sense for us to do the work now.
Yes. We use genuine Ducati and OEM parts, and high-quality parts from manufacturers such as DID and Brembo where they're the better choice.
A bike that has stood for a season or more usually needs fresh fluids, a battery check or replacement, a look at the fuel system (stale fuel gums up jets and injectors), tyres checked for age, and cam belts replaced if they're due by age. Tell us how long it's been standing and we'll tell you what to expect. Our recommissioning guide has more.
