Ducati Panigale V2 servicing
2020 on · 955cc Superquadro V-twin (2020 to 2024) and 890cc V2 (2025 on) · Greenwich, London
Ray Petty Meccanica services and repairs the Ducati Panigale V2, both the 955cc Superquadro bikes of 2020 to 2024 and the 890cc V2 and V2 S from 2025, at its independent Ducati workshop in Greenwich, London. The two generations have different engines and different service needs, and we work to the schedule for the one you own.
About the Panigale V2
Two different bikes carry this name. The first, from 2020 to 2024, developed the 959: a 955cc Superquadro 90° V-twin with four Desmodromic valves per cylinder and chain and gear cam drive, claimed 155hp, Euro 5, a single-sided swingarm and six-axis IMU electronics with cornering ABS. Special editions included the numbered Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary and the 2024 Superquadro Final Edition, limited to 555. The 2025 Panigale V2 has an all-new 890cc V-twin that drops Desmodromic valves for conventional springs and finger followers, with chain-driven cams and variable intake timing (IVT). It also gained a double-sided swingarm. It comes as the V2, with a Marzocchi fork and Kayaba shock, and the V2 S, with Öhlins.
Servicing your Panigale V2
On the 955 bikes, the Superquadro schedule applies: a service every 12,000 km or 12 months and a valve clearance check every 24,000 km, with no cam belts. The 890cc engine stretches this to a service every 15,000 km and a valve clearance check every 30,000 km. Because it uses valve springs, that check is a different job from a Desmo service, with no closing rockers to set. Both generations run IMU-based traction, wheelie and cornering ABS systems, which we read with the latest Ducati diagnostic software. Tell us which year you have when you book. We go through the whole bike, from front to back, and call you to agree any work before we do it.
