Ray Petty Meccanica services and repairs the Ducati Multistrada V2 and V2 S, both the 937cc bikes of 2022 to 2024 and the redesigned 890cc models from 2025, at its independent Ducati workshop in Greenwich, London. The two generations are serviced differently, the first with cam belts and Desmo valves, the second with chain-driven cams and valve springs, and we work to the right Ducati schedule for each.

About the Multistrada V2

The first Multistrada V2 (2022 to 2024) developed the 950, keeping the 937cc liquid-cooled Testastretta 11° Desmo twin and its claimed 113hp but adding new con-rods, an eight-disc clutch, a revised gearbox and lighter wheels, for about 5 kg less weight. The V2 S added Skyhook semi-active suspension, a quickshifter, cruise control and cornering lights. For 2025 Ducati replaced it with an all-new bike: an 890cc V-twin with spring-returned valves, chain-driven cams and variable inlet timing, claimed at 115hp, in a cast aluminium monocoque frame that uses the engine as a stressed member. Ducati says it is 18 kg lighter than before. The V2 S Travel adds side cases, heated grips and a centre stand.

Servicing your Multistrada V2

On the 2022 to 2024 bikes the schedule is a service every 15,000 km or 12 months and a Desmo valve clearance check every 30,000 km, with toothed cam belts that fall due by years as well as by kilometres. The 2025 engine has no belts at all, and its spring-valve heads make the clearance check a simpler job than a Desmo service. Its oil service is also every 15,000 km, and Ducati's 2025 maintenance table puts the valve check at 30,000 km; we confirm the figure for your model year when you book. We use genuine Ducati parts on both generations and read the electronics with the latest Ducati diagnostic software.
