Recommissioning after storage
Fresh fluids, battery, fuel system and tyres checked for age, and a careful start-up before it goes back on the road. Our recommissioning guide explains what's involved.

Care for Ducati's MotoGP replica, in Greenwich
Ray Petty Meccanica services, maintains and recommissions the Ducati Desmosedici RR at its workshop in Greenwich, London. We treat them as what they are: rare, valuable and nothing like an everyday Ducati.
The Desmosedici RR was the first road bike sold as a true replica of a MotoGP machine. Ducati built it in limited numbers from 2007, with a V4 engine derived from its GP racer, and most surviving bikes have covered very few miles.
That brings its own needs. A bike that spends most of its life in a garage still needs fluids, battery care and a careful recommission before it's ridden. When it does come out, it should be right. We'll look after yours the same way, whether it's ridden every summer or kept as part of a collection.
See our Desmosedici RR galleryTell us its mileage, when it was last serviced and how it's been stored, and we'll take it from there.

Low-mileage bikes still age. Fluids, seals and tyres go off whether or not the bike is ridden, so we service by date as well as distance.
Originality is part of the value. We use genuine parts and keep the bike as Ducati built it, unless you ask otherwise.
About 1,500, built from 2007.
No. After long storage, fuel, fluids, battery and tyres all need attention before it's safe and reliable to ride. Bring it in, or arrange transport, and we'll recommission it properly.
Yes, including Superleggeras and other special editions. Call us to talk about yours.
